COURTESY VISIT ON INVEST KEDAH BERHAD FROM AUSTRIA TECHNOLOGIE & SYSTEMTECHNIK (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. (AT&S)

by InvestKedah / Wednesday, 02 November 2022 / Published in Events

Ms. Ruth Foo, Corporate Affairs & Communications Manager from Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (AT&S) paid a courtesy visit on Invest Kedah Berhad at the Invest Kedah Berhad office, Wisma Darul Aman, Alor Setar.

AT&S, the global leading manufacturer of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and integrated circuit substrates (ICs) based in Austria chose Malaysia as its first production plant location in Southeast Asia.

The new AT&S production facility at Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP), Kedah, which produces high-tech PCBs and IC substrates, is expected to involve an investment of RM8.5 billion and create 5,000 high-tech and high-impact jobs.

Construction of the production plant is expected to begin in the second half of this year with the expected commercial operation in 2024.

It is hoped that this courtesy visit flourishingly established a relationship between two parties to ensure that investment development in Kedah can run smoothly.
